It's interesting because in many ways '77 was my intro to the band's live sound. I really dug it at the time. And like I said in the other thread, when I'm in the right mood, or just want to hear something more guitar driven I really dig those years. But for the most part the early stuff has a far more addictive quality to it for me. Like, I want to hear and collect EVERY show from 1968 but I can hardly sit thru a whole show from '77. I can't quite articulate why exactly, but I think what Arb said sounds about right...
